The much-awaited trailer for the sci-fi thriller “Kalki 2898 AD” is scheduled to premiere on June 10. The star-studded cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, and more. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film promises to be a mythology-infused sci-fi spectacle set in a futuristic world. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the movie is slated for a theatrical release on June 27 this year.
On Sunday, Vyjayanthi Movies revealed a new poster featuring Deepika Padukone for her upcoming film “Kalki 2898 AD” on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “She is the beacon of hope. Stay tuned for the trailer release tomorrow.” The poster, revealed by Deepika, features a futuristic and dystopian setting, suggesting the challenging and emotionally charged path her character will navigate in the film.
Deepika shared the same poster on her Instagram account with an identical caption. The image captures Deepika in a somber and disheartened expression as she stands in front of rugged stairs, with several individuals visible behind her. Responding to the post, her husband and actor, Ranveer Singh, exclaimed, “BOOM (fire emoji) stunner!”
On June 7, Amitabh Bachchan unveiled his new appearance as Ashwatthama in a poster shared personally by the legendary actor. His caption read, “Anticipating this tremendous honor of standing among the greats! The wait is almost over… Just 3 days left until the release of the #Kalki2898AD trailer on June 10th.”During last month’s IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the film’s creators unveiled a 21-second teaser showcasing Amitabh’s appearance. The teaser began with Amitabh’s character surrounded by warm earthy hues, seated in a cave, immersed in prayer to a Shiva linga, and wrapped in bandages. The teaser also featured a young child questioning him in the short clip.
